Due to heavy traffic and street closures, there will be detours, possible traffic delays, and alternate parking that may require shuttle service to the Aquarium.

Before visiting, please check below for detailed directions and parking information on Press Day (Tuesday, April 9) and Grand Prix Weekend.

Parking Instructions for Thursday, April 18

Thursday is known as “Thunder Thursday” – the day before official racing begins for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. The full track circuit will gradually be activated throughout the day. This means that the Aquarium parking structure will be closed to inbound traffic starting at 12:00 p.m. and all vehicles will need to be out of the structure by 3:00 p.m. (If not out by 3:00 p.m., your vehicle will remain in the structure through race weekend and will not be accessible until Monday, April 22.)

As of 12:00 p.m., please park at “The Pike” parking structure near the Aquarium, which is nearby and a short walk to the Aquarium. Parking will be $8 with a validation scan at the Aquarium, and is payable at kiosk pay stations. Prepaid member parking tickets will be accepted.

From the 710 freeway, you will either be routed off the freeway at 6th Street, or Broadway.

• From either exit, turn Right on Magnolia.
• Turn Left on Ocean Blvd.
• Turn Right on Chestnut.
• Turn Left on Seaside Way.
• Turn Right on Cedar and enter the parking structure on your Right.

The Aquarium will be open from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on April 18.

Parking Instructions for Friday-Sunday, April 19-21

This is the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach weekend. The full track circuit will be activated. This means that the Aquarium parking structure will be inaccessible for the weekend and alternative parking will be available to you. Aquarium guests are asked to park at the Queen Mary and take a short shuttle to the Aquarium. Parking will be $10 at the Queen Mary and will be payable on exit, with credit card only. Prepaid member parking tickets will be honored.

From the 710 freeway, you will either be routed off the freeway at 6th Street, or Broadway.

• From either exit, turn Right on Magnolia.
• Cross Ocean Blvd, and stay to the left.
• This will take you over the Queensway Bridge.
• Follow the signs for Aquarium parking to the Queen Mary.

The Aquarium will be open from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on these days.
